Getting Sidetracked

You found my old blog. Thanks for visiting! For my new writing, visit mikesententia.com.

I used to make a plan every week.  I don’t anymore.  Now I just have a huge list of tasks, and I grab a few every day.  Most days I add more tasks than I remove, and most days that’s a good thing.

This week I’d planned to learn to mentally communicate phone numbers so I can get in touch with some guys I’ve been working with magickally.

But on Monday a spirit told me about setting up procedures for mental areas*.  It’s a way of using magick to increase your skill with magick.  And those always get top priority.

*Mental areas are non-physical, magickal structures that drive magick.

Every day I wrote: “Finish setting up procedures”.  I never did.

Every day I ticked off the ones I did, and put the rest back on the list.  A week later, I still haven’t set up all the ones I want to, but my brain needs to rest, so I’m done for now.

I didn’t make a list for the week.  The lists I did make, I didn’t stick to.  Terrible for “Getting Things Done”.

But I feel good about it.

I worked on the most important thing, and let the urgent but less important things slide.

I trusted myself and my body, and worked hard each day, but not more than was healthy.

It was a good week.  I’ll do phone numbers next week.  Maybe.
