I’m reflecting on some healing sessions have done lately. The ones for chronic hives, my chest cold, and the few others. In each, I had to adjust the ethereal software, giving it a new sequence of steps to perform a better healing technique.
I’m realizing how much of magick was designed before modern medicine, and really, all of modern science.
I don’t mean “This ritual came from a time before Newton / Darwin / Crick.” I mean “The forces we channel were built by spirits who lack a knowledge of modern medicine.” They don’t know about the feedback mechanisms in the immune system, or the DNA mutations that cause cancer, or the hundreds of other things modern medicine relies on.
There’s no magick designed to work with pharmaceuticals, tweaking the body’s response to the drugs to produce a better, or altogether different, result. But even something as minor as energy healing for the side effects of drugs could have profound effects on peoples’ well-being.
But what about future techniques we might one day develop: How about turning specific nerves on or off? Adjust the signaling of the immune system? Trigger stem cell multiplication and specialization? If you didn’t know modern medicine, you couldn’t even ask those questions.
I’d never thought about how far human technology has advanced since these spirits designed our ethereal software. But now that I’m working with it more, I’m seeing so many places the ethereal software falls short, and how badly it needs a re-programming by medical experts.
Our knowledge has advanced, and it’s time for our magick to catch up.

I think you are right, but… What are the spirits? Where are they from? From where then feed? From where they obtain energy to do magick? They know how magick works or do it unconsciously like when we breath? They evolved naturally or were created by humans? How is possible that they not know about the medical advances? Is that they aren’t monitoring humanity? Is because the contacts with spirits is from other ages or is it that they where created before humanity knows about that things? Sorry if they are a lot of questions but they are important from my point of view.
Let me see what I can do for you, in terms of explaining spirits. The answers will be a bit simplified, but they should get you started.
What are the spirits?
Non-physical, sentient, intelligent people. (Note: People, not humans).
Where are they from?
No idea.
From where then feed? From where they obtain energy to do magick?
Low-skill spirits will drain people. The spirits I train with, and the ones who make ethereal software, have their own power source. You could think of it as a soul, if you like.
They know how magick works or do it unconsciously like when we breath?
They definitely know how magick works. I ask them questions often, and they explain it to me just like I explain it on the blog.
They evolved naturally or were created by humans?
They weren’t created by humans (I don’t think). No idea if they evolved or what.
How is possible that they not know about the medical advances? Is that they aren’t monitoring humanity? Is because the contacts with spirits is from other ages or is it that they where created before humanity knows about that things?
There’s a difference between being in contact with humanity vs having wikipedia and medical textbooks. And, not having bodies, it’s not like they can research medicine themselves. They know quite a bit via sensory connections, probably more than doctors knew 100 years ago, but medicine has advanced dramatically in the past few decades.
Can they time travel?
Because I have made a servitor (sentient program, I’m not sure if artificial spirit or complex ethereal software) that can do that.
I don’t think spirits can travel through time. And remember, visualizing your servitor traveling through time doesn’t mean it actually can.

I definitely agree magic needs to catch up, and not just in terms of modern medicine, but also psychology, cultural studies, etc.
